Get Ready for Campus Life Night!

Are you ready to get back to school?

Summer is coming to a close, which means that it’s time to prepare ourselves for this upcoming schoolyear. Taking classes can be stressful, so it’s important to find activities and clubs that you truly enjoy being a part of. 

On August 28th from 6-8 pm, Grand Valley will be hosting “Campus Life Night.” Here you will find out which organizations and clubs interest you. In addition, there will be fun games and free stuff that will be given out to everyone who comes. Cups, bags, and t-shirts are just a few of the things that you could end up taking home with you. In fact, GVSU Ad Club will be at Campus Life Night with cornhole boards for people to play with. The cornhole boards might be mini, but the fun that you will have from playing with them will be huge!

Ad club is available for anyone who wants to join. Our president, Selena Alvarado, wants to emphasize that “We don’t only look for one major. We focus on connecting students with professionals in the real world and working on preparing them to get their dream job.” So if your major isn’t directly related to advertising, that is more than okay. It is through clubs like these that we are able to learn what we want to do in life. People who haven’t settled on a major can benefit from joining a few clubs and seeing which one truly grabs their interest. Those who have decided their major can benefit from joining a club and being surrounded by people with the same interests and passions. Being in a group of people who share similar goals can help you stay motivated and stay on the right track for your major. 

Being in a club is a great way to make friends. Here at ad club, we like to consider ourselves a little family. We care about one another and know that if we need support, we can find it through ad club. If you join a club that is related to your major or minor, it can help you meet people who are going through the same struggles. Got a professor that is making you work extra hard? Someone in the club is bound to have the same professor and may even have some tips for you to help you take on the large workload. 

Ad club is all about helping you reach your goals in order to get your dream job. It’s easy to feel lost when you don’t know what the next steps are for your career path. Which is why ad club is so helpful. It’s a club full of students who are here to encourage one another. We can help you figure out what those next steps are by connecting you with professionals in the real-world who have dealt with the same struggles, and who want to show you the path to success.

Life is all about connections. Campus Life Night is a great way to make connections before school even starts and discover what inspires you.
