Valentine’s Day Ads We Love Can’t Help But Love!

It’s the loveliest time of the year. Holidays always bring the best out of advertising. With the Superbowl and Valentine’s Day falling in the same few days, this week is an advertiser’s dream. Valentines day is one of the biggest consumer holidays worldwide, next to Christmas. This is the time to catch all of the love doves wanting to spoil their friends, families, and loved ones with chocolaes and gifts. This day gives business a chance to appeal to their consumers through emotion unlike any normal day. Lets take a look at how valentines day ads have changed over the years and appealed to different lovers!

Valentine’s Day ads are so dreamy. I love the shades of pink and red, the calligraphy writing, and the dainty little hearts. While some Valentine’s Day ads can be a liiiiiittttleee….questionable….others are lighthearted and keep the lovingly innocence of the holiday. I, for one, love the vintage ads. Let’s go over a few, shall we?

Coke has always been a top tier company in advertising. This Valentine’s Day advertisement is so cute! To me, it feels a lot like their “Share a Coke” campaign!

The copy in this ad is so clever!

Although Volkswagan may be the last thing you would think of when it comes to valentines day hey wanted to make sure they were a the top of mind when you say this ad. They of course pull at your heart strings having you imagine you and your significant other pulling up in matching new rides to your drive in movie date, making us all wish we indeed had matching Bugs.

Jets gets me everytime with the heart shaped meal deals. How romantic is it to come home to your favorite guilty pleasure of some deep dish detroit style pizza. My gluten heaven. Jets for sure wants you to know pizza night is for every occasion.

We all know America runs on Dunkin for energy but what about for love? Here Dunkin is giving us a dozen reasons why. Who doesnt want a heart shaped doughnut to go with their coffee and rose bouquet they were just given. The shape of the doughnut and sprinkles just makes it taste better ok, and we are here for it!

We hope you all had a wonderful Valentine’s Day!
